relaxing

when we woke up this morning, the day looked so gorgeous we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to have a little day trip. my aunt has a little house down in a teeny tiny remote hamlet in dumfries & galloway, so we packed up the car & headed out for the day.

we crossed the swing bridge


for a walk in the countryside, & some of us swam


then some of us had to roll in the grass to dry off


before posing for a nice photo op


then we sat outside all afternoon


as the sun shone on us in our comfy chairs


until the evening shadows crept in, & some of us fell asleep
